Tailored by Nature, Backed by Science: The Daily ME’s Approach to Skincare That Puts You First
What if your skincare was made just for you—and only you? The Daily ME is redefining what it means to care for your skin with custom formulas tailored to your unique needs. But it’s not just about personal results—it’s about smarter routines, less waste, and a more sustainable way to glow. In this interview, we explore how personalization and responsibility can go hand in hand—one bespoke jar at a time. Today we’re talking to founder Rasha Aburas to find out more about what is it like to launch a skincare brand from scratch, their unique approach to skincare and its impact on the environment.
1.The Daily Me is known for its personalized wellness approach. What inspired the decision to build a fully customizable skincare brand?
The inspiration came from my time working as a pharmacist. I often saw customers struggling to find the right product—going through endless trial and error, feeling overwhelmed by the countless options on the shelves, and still leaving unsure if they made the right choice. I realized there was a clear gap: people needed solutions that were tailored to them, not just general products promising universal results. That’s when the idea of creating a truly personalized, data-driven skincare experience was born—one that empowers individuals to finally say, “This is made for me.”
2.How do you balance scientific formulation with individual customization needs?
At The Daily ME, we began by developing and rigorously testing a base formulation from scratch—one designed specifically to be customizable without compromising stability or safety. The real innovation lies in our proprietary technology. We built an in-house algorithm that analyzes each customer’s unique skin profile and recommends the right combination of active ingredients. It ensures proper mixing, compatible ingredient pairings, and safe concentrations, so every product is both scientifically sound and personally tailored.
What does personalization mean to you beyond just ingredients—how does it shape the overall customer experience?
For us, personalization goes far beyond the formula. It’s about creating an experience that feels truly yours. From the moment you receive your product, you’ll notice the difference—your name is written on the cream jar, and you receive a personalized card explaining exactly why we selected each ingredient for your unique skin needs. We’re also working on expanding this journey with tailored lifestyle advice, because we believe skin health is connected to your daily habits. At The Daily ME, we’re building a complete, personalized wellness experience—one thoughtful step at a time
3.Can you share any surprising user patterns or insights that came from customizing health routines at scale?
One of the most surprising—and rewarding—insights has been how effective simple routines can be when the right ingredients are used. Many of our customers are seeing real results with just a few targeted actives, simply because they’re matched correctly to their skin. What’s more, the streamlined routine saves them time and reduces overwhelm, which encourages consistency. It’s a clear reminder that personalization isn’t about adding complexity—it’s about making things simpler and smarter.
4.Sustainability is a growing concern in the wellness industry. How does The Daily Me approach packaging, sourcing, or production differently?
From outsourcing the right raw materials , to the concept that urges you to manufacture less and consume less , by creating a multipurpose daily formula for each client that makes them buy less and put less chemicals into the environment , being a local brand means that we are contributing to the economy of the country and creating opportunities , though still relying on importing many raw materials and packaging but having the product made here means that your carbon print resulting from shipping is less , we have simple packaging as well
Q5. How do you educate your customers about sustainability in wellness beyond just your own product line?
A:
We focus on raising awareness about responsible consumption—encouraging customers to buy only what they need, use products mindfully, and embrace minimal, effective routines. It’s about shifting the mindset from “more is better” to “better is better.”
Q6. Do you see sustainability as a brand value or a non-negotiable responsibility in today’s market?
A:
If we want the planet to be good enough for future generations to live on, we have to act responsibly now. It’s not a trend—it’s non-negotiable
Q7. Let’s go back to the beginning—what personal experiences or challenges led to the creation of The Daily ME?
A:
It started with my experience as a pharmacist, seeing people overwhelmed and disappointed by generic products that didn’t work for them. I didn’t want to create just another conventional brand—I wanted to build a new kind of skincare journey: personal, purposeful, and problem-solving.
Q8. What was the moment when you realized “this isn’t just an idea, this could be a company”?
A:
When I saw how much the concept resonated with people. Realizing that this idea could truly solve a common problem—and seeing similar models succeed globally—was the spark that turned it into a business.
Q9. What has been your biggest mindset shift since becoming a wellness entrepreneur?
A:
Understanding that done is better than perfect. Taking action, learning from real users, and adapting quickly has been far more valuable than waiting for everything to be flawless from day one.
Q10. Have there been any beliefs or assumptions you had early on that completely changed along the way?
A:
Yes—I used to think that offering more options meant better service. But I’ve learned that simplifying and curating the right experience is what people truly value.
Q11. Finally, now that summer has arrived earlier this year, what are your recommendations to our readers when it comes to a good summer skincare routine?
Keep it light and consistent. Use a gentle cleanser, don’t skip your moisturizer even in the heat, and most importantly—apply (and reapply) sunscreen daily. And if your skin changes in summer, don’t be afraid to adjust your routine and customize a different product that takes summer into consideration !
